Green parts: not just for ball cups anymore
careful guys looks like there is more green stuff coming. These are fresh from amain so I’m sure we will start seeing more new “white” parts come in this ugly green. When shopping on eBay NEVER trust stock photos. Buy from independents with actual pics of you care about the color. The big guys will likely all have current stock

Re: Green parts: not just for ball cups anymore
If it's not discontinued parts, it's parts molded in ugly colors.
Do you think AE is trying to tell us something?
... like "Will you old farts please stop living in the past and learn to love our new stuff?".

Curious to those who know about making this stuff, is there a reason they are not making them white, is this a cost thing? Seems like it would not be that hard.

Re: Green parts: not just for ball cups anymore
Speaking of green ball cups, do all of Associated's new "white" ball cups have a greenish hue to them, or was that just on the early batches?
Something clever goes here...

Re: Green parts: not just for ball cups anymore
I had thought it was the molder doing a poor job cleaning the hoppers and injection equipment between shots. However, if poor maintenance were the cause, then the parts would come in different colors and/or shades not just one shade of green. Maybe it goes back to the raw material supplier not controlling their packaging processes, batches or lots becoming mixed, etc.
I think it's just really poor QC overall and AE should be rejecting these parts as they arrive at their facilities.
