not really sure why but I love the Javelin. The colors never really impressed me but at the same time the Javelin has been my favorite Kyosho. Can't wait to see updates

Peace and professionlism.....Kabunga signing off!!!
Back in the 80’s I bought a Javelin from my cousin. I thought the orange rollcage was ugly. I took it off and got the Optima body for it. I then proceeded to throw the orange cage straight I’m the trash! It still makes me mad when I think about that, lol!

Yep ! It's funny how we can look at some decisions we took in the past... On the other hand, that's why vintage is so cool!
My re-re is black because the orange is a bit special but for sure roll cage is a must have when you appreciate to see technical details.

Very nice. Has anybody ever thought about putting "Hemi" stickers on a Javelin? Orange and Hemi just go hand-in-hand...
I've never thought of that before but I think you're right -- even the Hemi's orange color is a very close match to the roll cage.
Anyway, the restoration is very nice so far. What are you planning to do with the car next?
For what it's worth, replacement decal sets for the vintage car is available here:

Thanks, Yes I've got to finish now with the electronic, the wing and stickers...
I've got the Re-Re Kyosho stickers that match perfectly so it's OK but thanks for the link!
If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.
A problem shared is a problem halved but an advantage shared is no advantage at all.

Hi, and welcome. Those are excellent looking buggies. Nice choices.
As winter sets in , I find myself surfing the forum more and more . I love a photo laden thread on a cool car . Or a neat story on how we find some of our rides
Well , as luck would have it , I heard about this car sitting in a local hobby shop...

Thank god then it's christmas soon! I can't live with you only have four projects going!
What are you applying my dear friend, that I don’t have enough projects? You should say that to my wife!
I am seeing the Javelin re-re roll cages on Ebay. I see 4 colors (orange, green, white, and yellow). Has anyone bought one and tried to fit it onto a vintage Optima/Javelin? Does it fit? I assume it doesn't in the back, but how much modification is...

They have both needed parts (OT250 and OT251) in stock now on the Kyosho America website.
I like to introduce to you, Miss Javelin without her makeup (decals) on! If you can see beyond her beauty, you might see her jewelry! At the front she is wearing a brand new Novak servo. Around her waistline you might get a glimpse of her Novak ESC...

You know guy, she's no slut. She's a respectable lady!
But that Tamiya rubber-ish-thing was friggin hillarious!
