A few more details , firstly a steering wheel but also a back storage box and steps , both need painting , a shovel and some captured Jerrycans (by Alexby on Thingiverse )in a wood box .
I started dirtying it up as well as staining the wood parts .

The paint arrived yesterday so I was able to paint the storage box on the back and the rear steps and stick them on , also finished a rough copy of the radio that was used in the war , i used a clear resin to print it then painted all but the dials , its hollow and i fitted an LED inside connected to what would have been the headlight circuit so the dials light up , quite pleased with it but i think I'll add a resistor inline as its a bit too bright .

I think a model this nice deserves a running video - at least a short video.

Happy Birthday, Dadio. :D

I will post a video , every time I think of making one something else arrives in the post and it gets torn down again , I've got new motors that should pep it up a bit and I have some 12t pinions to replace the 10t pinions but I also needed pinion adapter's.......... Anyway once its all fitted it should be a bit less ploddy and make for better viewing , well maybe because I'll be at the camera and sticks ....

Wow, this is so cool. Feels like a good BOTM contender. 8)

Ha ha , well it is 27meg and running brushed motors but no , not really in the spirit of the BOTM contest .

Think this is cosmetically finished , I just need to swap out the motors and fit the larger pinions and i think that will be it , I'll stick it on Thingiverse and My Mini Factory for anybody with a patience to assemble it but it might take a while as I'll have to include instructions .

The instrument panel and storage containers are printed and painted , I also got the new Mabuchi RS380SH motors are fitted with the 12t pinions instead of the stock 10t pinions and even just testing in the living room its faster , spins its tracks on the Lino ! I'll get some video of it tomorrow if the weather is good for a few minutes.

No video but I have driven it outside and its much more like the speed it should be , not fast by rc car standards or even as quick as those Rip Saw rc tanks but its fast enough to show the limitations of the old 27meg Heng Long control system and steering ! It also kind of rocks forward on the suspension when it stops like the real ones !

Not seen a nitro blizzard in person but found one on YouTube 2 speed ? The carrier is probably faster than first gear but not as fast as second gear , I'll try and get footage soon.
