Hey guys, I’ve seen some cool T2 based buggy builds including Scr8p’s RC10 1.5 builds. I thought it would be cool to build a car as if Associated had designed the RC10 championship edition 1.5 version. So here it is.
.
The chassis is powder coated a color that I found as close to the original gold as I could.
The chassis, transmission, and rear bulkhead are Team Associated T2 truck parts that have been modified. The noseplate and suspension are standard RC10 parts. The rear shock tower is custom for this application.

That is a really cool result. It looks like a factory issue.
What paint did you use for the chassis?
I'm not at all familiar with the b2. Is the front end a b1 or a b2? Is the chassis metal or plastic? Is the rear bulkhead the same width as the b1?
i'm a few years late here, but this is a great build. thanks for sharing this and providing details on parts used. I'm working on getting my well used and loved Radiant back to running after sitting in a box for 30 years. i'll be doing the diff mod...
Looks like a cool build. I have started and disassembled/abandoned 2 of these truck conversions in the last year. I'm currently on my 3rd one and we'll see how it goes. I really like your choice of tires. The big knobbies look very correct on these...

I used stainless welding rod. Easy to find and has a nice finish.
So I'm pretty new to the forum, and have found this place to be an awesome resource for all things vintage. I've been scouring ebay for about a month and finally found an RC10 I think I can live with. I wanted a runner, so nothing so nice I wouldn't...

Looks good! My CE is in just about the same shape. Hopefully I'll finish it up this weekend. You may want to try Amain for parts like paint and deans connectors. They ship free on a $25 order! They just don't have as much stuff specific to the 10 as...
I've recently been bitten by the Tamiya bug. I just ordered 3 more kits last night from Tower! Builds on those to come later.
Here is my Wild One I just finished. Customizations include:
Fast Attack black roll bars and nerf bars

Nice work....I really like the FAV black roll bar and nerf bars because they match the chassis which looks more scale. I think the gold wheels look cool and different but I think your idea of black rims with white lettering will look better or at...
