Reedy Upgrade Exchange Program
Has anyone taken advantage of the Reedy Upgrade Exchange Program? Looking through their list, all I'm really interested in is swapping out some old (even some new) low-end servos, maybe a motor, maybe an esc. Seems like doing this would be lots easier than trying to eBay this stuff onesy-twosy for minimal return.
Any good or bad experiences to share? Thanks.

Re: Reedy Upgrade Exchange Program
I wonder what they have in stock. The prices are real good. I may take the chance and let you know.Bottom Feeder wrote: ↑Thu Aug 05, 2021 3:12 pm Has anyone taken advantage of the Reedy Upgrade Exchange Program? Looks intriguing. I've been wanting to replace the stock RTR 540-SL4 3300kv motor and SC600BL esc in my T4.3 with a Castle sensorless set up, but this exchange program is making a Sonic sensored set up look more appealing.

Re: Reedy Upgrade Exchange Program
Bumping this old thread to see if anyone here has used this exchange program recently. I’m planning to build my RC10 40th with all modern Reedy components and just read about program. Looks like great deals (first one’s on me, they you gotta pay sort of thing!).
I’m 100% new to AE so sorry if this is a commonly posted topic. Last I found in the search was this from 2021.

Re: Reedy Upgrade Exchange Program
If you look at the listed price versus what they actually sell for, you'll notice that there isn't a big discount. After you figure in shipping your old items, it just doesn't look as appealing.
Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.

Re: Reedy Upgrade Exchange Program
Ditto on what juicedcoupe said. Haven't found anything that wasn't quicker/cheaper to order through a hobby shop.
Could see it being of value if they had an otherwise out of stock item. Or if you didn't want to throw broken electronics away. Or just for the cool story of using the program.
Another option... what electronics are you looking to exchange? ...Possible someone here might be interesting in them...

I have thought about it but like someone said the reward is almost nothing. I would rather hold on to the parts. You never know when they will come in handy.
