Hi all as above after some 27Mhz Crystals, AM and FM for some projects please if anyone has anything to sell or trade.
Also keen on any futaba S132-H servos if anyone would like to sell or trade?
I picked up some old Tamiya stuff and cant seem to get the Tx hooking up with the Rx. Have tried a few variations. The one common is the same set of crystals.
Do they fail after some time?

Very old thread, I know, but I am new to the site and reading up on old stuff when I should be working  Yes, crystals can go bad. A crystal is just a wafter that vibrates at the frequency indicated when electricity is applied. They don't expire...
Crystals are not a matched pair are they? If I use a 76 with a 76 it should work?

Hi
Although the crystals may be the same frequency number, they may not be compatible due to the type of cut they are. 27 band crystals are all pretty much interchangeable between brands.
On 75 band Futaba, KO, Hitec and the rest are not all...

I have a tidy old Futaba Attack R 2channel 27Mhz(bought new in 1987)that I'm
wondering if it can be converted to 2.4Ghz?
I know there are DIY sets out there, but they all seen to be used on 35 & 72Mhz PCM sets.
Has anyone had a go at doing one of...

did mine on a 27MHZ KO EXII set. Do some research first so that you will know what your getting into. Mine I used FRsky, should you go on that path, get the one with the telemetry as it has solved the servo Gitter problem. good luck.
Since I can't think of 25 things to talk about to get my status high enough to post in the want to buy section. I'll just ask a general question. I bought a nice late Edinger car on ebay. The car was complete with the exception of the transmitter. I...

Me neither, I've been looking for 3 months and that just went up. I wonder if a forum member saw this and listed it.
Hi
I have a new old Futaba T2PHKA radio that draws an impressive 230mA from 8x batteries.
The radio includes a socket on the rear that looks like it should be for plug in 12V. That doesn't seem to work.
Does anyone know what the socket is for?

According to the manual, the transmitter needs a 12VDC supply.
Reducing the power supply reduces the measured RF output.
Alkaline batteries have a higher voltage than equivalent nicd and nimh cells. The charger is designed around it's intended...
