Re: Optima Mid RERE
I bet they did it like the old stinger gearbox. No support just a flanged post to hold the bearing.

Re: Optima Mid RERE
You're probably right but I hope they've come up with something better than that.
Hanging the gear off the side of a plastic case doesn't seem very secure - says the guy who rides a bike with a single sided swing-arm.

From AMain:
"Hi Douglas,
Hope all is well and you are staying safe out there. Sadly as of right now we are not taking preorders for this item. We just did add the item to our backend, so I'm sure this will be available soon, I just don't have an exact date.
If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to ask.
Thank you.

Well, that sounds a little more hopeful.
Anyway, at least it wasn't:
"Duh, what's an Optima Mid?
Oh wait, wasn't he one of The Transformers?".

Re: Optima Mid RERE
Given that the Mid's not appearing on US sites yet I'm guessing no one has any real idea of how much it's going to be selling for over here yet?
I just finished building my Turbo Optima re-re so I've definitely got the Kyosho bug now and want one of these for the collection!

Re: Optima Mid RERE
If that turns out to be the case it'll be fairly sporty pricing compared to the $369 for the Turbo Optima but I'm sure it'll sell fast anyway...certainly to me for one!!BattleTrak wrote: ↑Sat Feb 05, 2022 4:29 pm The Japanese website shows 54,780 yen which is about $475..not sure if that is list price or what..

Re: Optima Mid RERE
If an Optima Mid Re Re is coming out, does that mean a Turbo Optima Mid SE Re Re might be following it?
Frankensteined RC10T3 / Franky Jr RC10GT-e (x2) / A+ stamp / Toy Story RC / Graphite replica / B1.5 BFG 5LTi / Clonewald / Hyper Hornet

Re: Optima Mid RERE
Following what they did with the scorpion and optima I’m sure they will- but I suspect it will be a year or better. They seem to stay faithful on the standard kit, then on the turbo they veer away from the original upgrades ie they don’t have platinum shocks or ball diffs etc.
