novak GTB2 need trouble shooting help
I was driving my buggy today and the esc seems to just die.
I was running a novak gtb 2 and all of the lights are off. Normally there are some status lights, even when something is wrong.
The the BEC is still providing power to the receiver and servo.
Is there a reset button or a fuse somewhere I should be checking? the instruction one-sheet isn't giving much in the way of troubleshooting.

What are you running for motor and battery? Is the LiPo cutoff setting enabled? Have you gone through the track guide page of the manual? https://www.manualslib.com/manual/401733/Novak-Gtb-2-Track-Guide.html

The motor is a 13.5t fixed timing stock motor and the battery is a 4200 mah 2s lipo, Usually if the battery is out there is a red flashing light on the speed controller, but I should try and charge just to see if it changes.Frankentruck wrote: ↑Sun Jan 30, 2022 9:17 am What are you running for motor and battery? I didn't have this track guide. Thanks for linking it. I founds the one sheet for set-ups this looks like it goes a bit deeper.

I checked through the guide you linked but there seems to be a missing section. It seems the issue I have would be under 'Service Procedures'Frankentruck wrote: ↑Sun Jan 30, 2022 9:17 am What are you running for motor and battery? Is the LiPo cutoff setting enabled? It seems to just die while running. I wasn't driving it but it acted like it was running out of battery given the steering was working, but it was way to early in the pack, and there were no status lights. The gearing was 12t pinion with an 86 tooth spur, motor setup on 50 throttle travel.
I checked with 2 different Lipos the results are the same, no indication lights, I tried to reset the ESC via the one touch setup method, but there were still no lights showing up.
I pulled it from the car and tested it with all of the wires connected with the same results. I am going to try another radio and receiver, though I don't think that is the issue.

Are you able to try a different motor?

So the motor seems good, but maybe it's the sensor board. I bought a new speed controller and hooked it up and it drove, but only with the sensor cable disconnected. I have a new cable on the way since I don't have any spares.

I declare this car haunted.
I swapped in a known good motor, new esc and new sensor cable.
It's cogging up a storm. I'll recheck all the connections and reset the esc and radio.
