Re: Tamiya "Turbo" Frog
I've had it out with a 27t brushed stock motor and it handled it nicely. Swapping for a brushless 21.5t, then it'll really put it to the test.

I like the gearbox extension mounts. Might have to steal that idea for my modified frog!

Re: Tamiya "Turbo" Frog
Will do. Finished my modified grasshopper so time to revisit the frog.
I modified the rear end to put the rear arms on bearings, and the diff has the screw mod. Main weak area is the front end. I put avante shocks on it, but it's still terrible, so I'll prob a my swap it all out for something else. I had been wondering how to give it a bit more wheelbase, and your idea is a nice simple solution. The best solutions normally are!

I`ve used a shaft + bushing arrangement. No play at all now...graemevw wrote: βSun Jan 22, 2023 12:06 pmWill do. Finished my modified grasshopper so time to revisit the frog.
