Futaba FP-S 143 servo

One of my Delta Pocket Rocket 1:18 scale cars came with a Futaba FP-S 143 servo.
I tried to find specs and release date for this servo, but I can´t find anything.
The usual Futaba database for discontinued servos don´t mention this servo.
So anyone have more knowledge?

Seems like it's just an S133 with a new model number.

Seems the S143 is smaller than the S133.

My bad. Should've said 133H. The S133, S133H, and S143 are the same dimensions but different torque/speed.

Hey guys,
Working on getting my old Team car upgraded with 2,4GHz radio, brushless motor and lipos, but what servo to use? It's a darn jungle. Seems like 7,4V is a killer on servos these days.
I'm a old Futaba fan so any tips on a good Futaba servo...

This is what I use, its what AE uses in their RTRs. It has decent speed, torque, and metal gears. There are faster servos and some have titanium gears but they cost $100 plus. Whatever route you go I suggest metal gears at a minimum. Search ebay for...

Are they pretty tough units? Do they need rebuilding?

They were popular in their day. Like most Futaba stuff, they are made well.

As long as it operates smoothly, I'd use it. If it's sticky, clean the gears and re-grease it.

I am just curious as to what year this servo was first released? It was recommend as the servo to use to restore an old buggy from the 80s with period correct electronics, but I see that you can still buy this servo brand new today?... same servo?...
