wish I would've known. just waited for almost 5 weeks for some tamiya ceramic grease
and just realized I still don't have the AW grease that was supposed to come with it
I usually get it in parts bags when buying on Ebay, from the guys that strip new kits. You can usually get a bag of junk for a few dollars. I'm usually buying other stuff as well, so shipping is cheap by then.
I also get a lot of my bearings this way. Tamiya, Traxxas, and Associated (metric sizes) go for cheap. If you catch them on sale, they are stupid cheap. It just takes a few minutes of research.

yeah, thats where my ceramic grease came from and AW grease was supposed to come with was from. No issues with the axle tubes, outdrives, gears, bearings. They all came in pretty quick. Just waiting on the ceramic grease sucked. And now I might just order more AW grease since its really not worth the effort dealing with some of the kit parters.

I guess I felt like I didn't have enough hobbies / collections / things to throw money at ................ so a couple of G scale trains made it into the house this weekend! At some point, I am going to get a hobby that isn't related to me just trying to relive moments of my youth (or moments I wish I had), but not today!

Try fishing and drag racing (full size).
You can throw infinite amounts of money into them and not even realize where it went.
A boat or race car can eat money by the thousands.

After getting an old Traxxas XL-1 Rustler for cheap, I was going over everything on it. While settling up the esc, I couldn't help but do a size comparison with a Hobbywing 1060.
This thing is massive. It might be the largest esc that I have. Gotta love those blue heatsinks.

I randomly went on the bay earlier looking for Proline Pro-2 stuff for no reason, and ran across this gem. It is described as "lightly used," which is BS, but that isn't the big problem with it......................

Recently, I have ended up with a $25 Nitro Rustler, and a $25 Stampede, so naturally, this abomination is happening. Next step is to see about putting Bandit suspension on it.
