Re: TRX-1 Mods and Parts guide
Have I mentionned that the AE battery boxes are a direct fit on the chassis with the right hole spacing?
However, beware: the AE battery bar doesn't fit on the TRX box mounts

Re: TRX-1 Mods and Parts guide
This is an interesting thread as far as mods/parts
http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=30798
Especially:
"RB5 rear CVD's with Kyosho outdrives."
I wonder if these would solve the A&L trailing arm clearances issue? (Around the ID of the inboard bearing bore area of the trailing arm) I guess traxxas universals are too bulky.

Re: TRX-1 Mods and Parts guide
This is great....I have my TRX1 that has been begging me to rebuild it. Getting a few A&L goodies then will be digging in! My goal is to get it ready to race and be able to use 12mm hex wheels on all 4 corners. If I cant get the front done easily, then at lease adapt it for my RC10 WC front wheels, I just despise having to carry around all different set of front wheels/tires when I go racing - trying to keep it to 2 kinds, hex or bearing only.

Re: TRX-1 Mods and Parts guide
I have found that the Axial 20t top gear fits the TRX gearbox perfectly. It's made of metal - so much better than the plastic parts and its cheap . Part AX30394
Also, the 18mm HSP idler shaft works perfectly. I use the Traxxas 1996 idler and insert narrowed Tamiya plastic bushings in the transmission housings and run bearings inside the 1996 idler.
Plus with the Haiboxing/HBX slipper Shaft looks like it fits, part HBX-KB-61035 using Kyosho or Schumacher (with internal bearing) spur gears. This might be useful for non AE or Losi guys. Also usefull as the STRC topshaft doesnt seem available at the moment, although i have seen a few top shafts that can use older losi dual pad slipper plates (XX or XXX or early 22 compatible), which allow Losi or AE dual pad spur gears.

Re: TRX-1 Mods and Parts guide
why the a&l axles? They look quite a bit longer: don’t they bind up in the diff outdrives?

Yes they are too long. I need to machine them down.

Re: TRX-1 Mods and Parts guide
Those appear to be our bones for the lethal weapon conversion not the standard bone conversion. Pretty bad example as it makes it look like our parts are wrong when they have been used for years and inspired the Traxxas parts

Re: TRX-1 Mods and Parts guide
When I ordered I thought all you had was the lethal weapon bones left? If you have Trx1 bones I can just order those.
“The bones for a standard TRX-1 are gone, but we do have some left for the lethal weapon conversions (slightly longer). ”. This was at the end of January.
At least at the time that is what I was told.

Re: TRX-1 Mods and Parts guide
Correct, the TRX1 bones are gone.
However you are representing the lethal weapon bones as the ones we sold for trx1 though, and that is very misleading. It would be like complaining that you had to buy a 4 door car because there were no 2 door models left on the car lot and for some reason the car has a longer wheelbase. Yeah, the bones are too long because they are for a different application, not because they were made wrong or sold as the right ones

Re: TRX-1 Mods and Parts guide
Sorry I was not clear. I will edit my picture.
I have never seen A&L trx1 bones, not even ran across them on eBay. Regardless my only option is to machine the bones down from the LW and this looks like it would be most people’s best option for a build unless someone chimes in on some other option. And this is exactly what I am doing getting what is available and making it work for me and I am not complaining about it.
