Hello Schumacher experts,

I am currently working on the CAD to create my own RC10 custom gearbox with readily available internals. In my search for a diff with a gear 45T or smaller I found the Cougar Laydown diff which is available as dall as well as gear diff.

Gear Diff

Ball Diff

So now my question, are the internal gears of the schumacher products also 48dp or do they use a different module?

I have been 3d printing gears for the cougar 2000 and can now say it is not 48dp and actually 0.5MOD.

So I managed to fit a 48 pitch spur onto my ZX, now I need to know the gear ratio.

The box says 9.74 ratio, is that including the spur gear??
Need some help here...thanks...

yeah thats the overall ratio.

i think the pulley are 14 and the diff are 32 so it should be something like 2.28

Is this something you can tell by looking or at least comparing them?

The spur & pinion I've installed in OptiMutt--with Robinson Racing spurs--uses a pinion with tiny teeth shown on the left. To the right is something else, and in the middle is...

you can actually measure the pitch by measuring between teeth pretty easily as well. but you need to measure at the root of the tooth.

32 pitch, well, 32 teeth to 1 inch, so 1/32 between teeth. this is for diametrical pitch gears.

Should be smoother but I can't say how much of a benefit the Thorp 64p gears actually produced. Main reason for using 64p gears is you can fine tune gear ratios...but that doesn't really come into play with the gears inside the transmission, only...

Can anyone tell me what the gear pitch is on a stealth transmission? I’m converting a Championship Edition to brushless, and wanting to get a few pinion gears to try out. Thanks for any info.

I just found another blast from the past, in one of my boxes.
It is the 48 Pitch 6 Gear tranny made for the old housing. Notice in the picture below the transmission on the left is the 32 Pitch standard transmission with the black upgrade gears,...

i got a deal on a kyosho outrage with a bad pinion gear..will any 32pitch gear work??i ask cause the kyosho pinions look different and i know tamiya 48 pitch is not like rc10 48 pitch..are any 32pitch gears like this or is all 32pitch gears the...

Looking for a diagram or instruction for the 48 pitch gear internal conversion for the old six gear. I think MIP made it but I could be mistaken. Trying to breath life back into an old friend. Thanks

I have the complete thorp 48p setup and the outdrive bearing mod (with inner bearing removal from outdrives) in my red pan/American flag rc10 build. There are faqs on it in the temple tech section if you search.
