Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Another nice decal set from MCI to go with the body and wheels that arrived a few days ago.
Now I have everything to covert the Blitzer Beetle to a Stadium Blitzer -- which is why I bought it in the first place.
Anyway, for the near term the BB's body shell will reside on my Sand Scorcher -- at least until I can get the SS body painted and finished then I'll find another use for it.
I'm really looking forward to taking the Stadium Blitzer to the park and having some fun.

Have fun masking and painting the roll bar. It's annoying but worth the trouble.
For the number plates, I use scrap lexan from the wheel cutouts. I paint it black and attach the decals to the painted side. Then trim the lexan and decal together.
Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.

It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas

You forget the window masks?
The windshield is on the smaller side, so that it can be trimmed in color.
The rear window aren't "necessary", because of the decals. But being clear will allow a small amount of light to pass through the mesh.

Yeah, I'm fine with making window masks so I never buy them.
I keep telling myself to just quickly blast some paint, apply stickers and go out and run the darn thing. It's sat on the shelf long enough.
I hadn't given it much thought before you mentioned it but masking the roll bar seems incredibly tedious. For the rear part, I reckon I'll just paint the outside -- using the overspray film as masks. I've done this on a Tamiya '95 F150 and it turned out okay.
One thing's for certain, this truck is going 3s. ...and being a Tamiya, it will probably break but it seems pointless to drive a stadium truck slowly.
Do rear uprights that provide toe-in exist for this chassis?

It actually came from my LHS.
I keep hearing how this new kit is such a pleasure to build, so I had to find out for myself. It's going to be hard to build a car straight from the box, with no modifications or upgrades, but that is the deal I made with myself.

More 3speed parts showing up. That's a lot of bearings for two vehicles! It is a bit more than needed, but still a lot.
I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Got pretty lucky today.
I had been looking for a fairly period correct ESC for the Doberman, nothing too fancy.
Came across this Futaba MC-112b untested. Asked seller if he could test and the answer was no.
To me this usually means it's dead. But it was in really nice condition so I pulled the trigger.
And it works like new...Happy

INSANITY!
PP motor is a ROAR '91 24° "Macho II"
TWISTERS is a very nice TWISTERS unknown spec (assuming 27t) stocker from same time period, with UltraHive repro label.

Some excellent front wheels for my Trx1 cleanup project!
. .
Now if I could just find a way to convince Lavigna to part with that green and orange Trx-1 body, I'd probably be so happy I'd be willing to sell TravelinTravis that Revtech motor he wants.
