Looks like BS to me. If there actually are 4 available tubs, they are probably rere tubs from the blow-out AE did last year... or the year before.
Some photoshop BS on that nose too.

Re: “aftermarket” RC10 gold chassis pan
With a bit of luck they are from the "lost" molds from the first re-re

Comparing the 2013 re-re to the current RC10CC chassis, the quality of the stamping on the 2013 is slightly better IMHO, likely due to some amount of post processing, deburring, etc. after the stamping process. Now the quality of the anodizing on the 2013, that is up for debate

We'll see what the 40th anniversary chassis holds....

If these are legit, guaranteed they are coming from somewhere in Asia, the Cali address is just likely a shipping point domestically.

Except anno color and no letter stamp. Oh, were re-re tubs stamped?
Anyway, seller knows how to use Photoshop so it probably is BS.

Yeah, the "lost molds" theory crossed my mind as well.duckhead wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 9:43 amWith a bit of luck they are from the "lost" molds from the first re-re![]()

Did you buy a 40th? I'd like to see a full detailed review, how it compares to previous releases, etc.

I agree.
Unfortunately, everything comes from Asia these days. Nothing is made in America in 2024.
