RC10DS - Kit and Build review.
Re: RC10DS - Kit and Build review.
Building mine right now. Your post is extremely helpful. Thanks
What size motor and pinion are you running? I'm between a 13.5 and a 17.5. With a 2.25 trans ratio this would put me in the ballpark of a 44T. Sounds too big.

Re: RC10DS - Kit and Build review.
That's way too big. I'm currently running a 30t with a 21.5 and I may have to gear down when I switch to the indoor track.
depending on the track you'd probably want to start out with a 23t and adjust from there. Modern Brushless motors are way more torquey than the old Brushed motors so you can go a little taller than the old tips sheet shows but regardless you should be paying special attention to how hot the motor is getting, Especially if you're like me and don't have a fan on the motor.
Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.

My sanity was restored. Seriously. I was ready to put the kit back in the box and put it in the attic.RogueIV wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2024 12:30 amGlad it's helping people!Brendan2904 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 14, 2024 10:40 pm This thread and your notes in the instructions have helped immensely!
