Kyosho Advertising a trio of their platform sharing monster trucks in 1989:

Big Brute: Kyosho’s original 1/10 electric 2wd monster truck released in 1987. Deeply molded ABS plastic tub chassis, split case gearbox housings, 4-wheel double a-arm independent suspension system. Kimbrough style servo saver and adjustable tie rod steering. Red plastic shock tower/body mounts with single plastic bodied coilover friction shock for each wheel. Red plastic transverse battery mount featured two red plastic side guards. Oversized white front brush guard. tubular style plastic cage surrounded the rear mounted motor. Bevel gear differential equipped transmission, dog eared plastic driveshafts and metal axle shafts. High offset three-piece white nylon 2.2 truck wheels rolling on 5.4 inch tall Bridgestone monster truck tires. Highly detailed clear lexan Toyota truck body with chrome bumpers, grille and off-road lights atop a black triple tube roll bar. The unassembled kit included bushings, a mechanical speed controller, and Lemans 05 Stock motor, sold less radio.

Hi-Rider Corvette: Kyosho's third 1/10 electric 2wd monster truck released in 1988, Same deeply molded ABS tub chassis, split case gearboxes, dog ear plastic axles, 4-wheel independent double a-arm suspension, kimbrough servo saver and adjustable tie rod steering as the original Big Brute. Shared body mount bases, shock towers, transverse battery mount, front brush guard, and rear motor cage with Kyosho’s previously released 1/10 electric 2wd monster truck, The Boss. Also included The Boss’s chromed plastic internally sprung friction shocks upgraded to two per corner, as well as The Boss’s chrome supercharger, chromed two-piece “turbine” style plastic wheels and revised Bridgestone monster truck tires. A clear lexan Corvette body, bushings, a mechanical speed controller and LeMans 05 Stock motor were included with the unassembled kit, sold less radio.

Double Dare: Kyosho's fourth 1/10 electric monster truck, released in 1988. Dual motor 4wd with four-wheel steering. Same deeply molded ABS tub chassis and 4-wheel independent double a-arm suspension as the original Big Brute. Kimbrough servo saver actuating a revised adjustable tie rod four-wheel steering system. Updated shock towers held twin red plastic internally sprung friction shocks. New front brush guard with transverse battery mount and rear motor guard from The Boss monster truck. Twin motors bolted to front (new) and rear (Big Brute) split case gearboxes with gear diff transmissions leading to plastic dog ear driveshafts and metal axles. Two piece “Turbine” style chrome wheels and Bridgestone monster truck tires from The Boss. Nissan Hardbody clear lexan body with fastback cab fairing, chrome lights, chrome grill, chrome tube bumpers, and chrome twin stack engine. Sold as an unassembled kit with bushings, twin LeMans 05 Stock motors and a mechanical speed controller, less radio.

Also seen is a trademark disclosure that original Kyosho Big Brute ads did not have. Buddy L produced a line of trucks under the Big Brute name from the early 1970's until their closure in 1995.
