Little help from the hive mind that is 10Talk.... got these in a lot recently, and need to ID them to move them on. I'm certain they're 1:8 pan car, as they're significantly bigger than my 'traditional' 10L type stuff I have for my Daytona... wheels are 60mm wide, 55mm high, and have some sort of six-point locking mechanism - maybe a quick release? 1:8 is definitely not my wheelhouse...

So to confirm, the off-color green front springs on an RC10T2 - would be more equivalent to a typical "blue" Truck Front Spring?
- The part number in T2 manual is the same as regular truck Front Green [ASC7427], right?
- What was the point of the stiffer front spring?
Here are pictures to show color - first picture is the odd-colored T2 front spring; 2nd picture is the typical green AE spring color:

Yep, the bright green front's were T2 and stiffer by far ( blue current rate ) than the standard AE green truck front's

The last lot of green front springs I bought were lighter colored like your photo (blue white header card).
I was old school - when old school wasn't cool !

I don't think any other AE kits recommend blue springs as a basic setup, right?
Why did they recommend such stiff springs on the T2 ?
- Is the geometry different?
- Or is there any other reason we know of, that it would perform better with stiffer front springs?
When y'all are rebuilding T2s for racing these days, do you still use these stiffer front springs?
Sorry for detailed questions - I have never rebuilt a T2, but I plan on prepping one for racing soon.

The T2 may have come with a couple different springs through its production.
Depending on the surface your racing on you'd go up on spring rate as the grip increases. Also if you move the shock in on the arm you'd likely go up on spring rate too.
The light green springs are listed as same spring rate, the only way to tell for certain is to test them on a shock matching jig.
