Actual colours to use for box art Optima and Turbo Optima
Tried a search but no luck. Looking for the actual paint colours (or very close alternatives) to paint up an Optima and Turbo Optima, both in box art. I guess what blue and yellow for the Optima (white is easy
) and the red/orange for the Turbo. Thanks in advance.

Re: Actual colours to use for box art Optima and Turbo Optim
I remember seeing something about this on a forum somewhere awhile back, they were talking about the Pactra or Polyca paints. I'll see if I can find it again.
Edit: here you go, http://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=47058
Hope that helps. Alternatively you could try asking Jon Miller what he uses, he's painted at least two box art Optima bodies that I'm aware of including my own and they both came out really nice.

Edit- Now this is a bit embarrassing, I actually have a post in that thread, didn't recall that they were discussing alternative colours.

Ahh, I remember the POLYCA colors. You can see some of them here. The black, white, red where probably the box art colors.

Cheers

PS-34 bright red was a perfect match for my turbo optima
