Re: Dadio's 3D Printing Stuff
A slight change of direction , originally I was going to make a custom chassis to suit the rear arms but now I think the mounting could be fitted to a stock chassis with the addition of two 3mm holes each side , this one is a re re so M 3 at the roll hoop but it would be simple to just adapt the mount to M 4 . I'm also experimenting with the anti roll bar , I'm hoping to use it but I'll probably have to shorten it at each end a bit.An unexpected bonus is the mount has way more clearance to the motor so the wires for a BL motor can easily fit at the back rather than towards the battery tray .
If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.

Just printed out the mountings in PA6 CF, drilled to the chassis and assembled it all , really pleased with how it's turned out.

Nice job on the Scorpion trailing arm setup! I have a similar setup on my rear motor Optima. I'll have to borrow inspiration from your shock mounts if you don't mind!

Re: Dadio's 3D Printing Stuff
So disappointed , I ordered a Mini Mustang chassis from Craft Cloud and after jumping through hoops to change the design before they would print it I waited with high hopes , what arrived was such a disappointment, badly warped and bent , clearly removed before it had cooled properly and thrown in a heap of parts , such a pity as it's clear the print was very good if only they had been more patient. This was SLS (selective laser sintered) printed , a process where powder it layed down in thin layers in a heated chamber then the print is made by shooting a laser at areas to fuse the powder together , then another layer of powder is layered over and lasered again to build up the print , once the build chamber is completely filled it's removed from the printer and allowed to cool , up to a day to cool ! But the company Xiaowei . Dong ( guess where they are based ) were obviously in a rush so removed the parts prematurely while still soft and then just threw them in a heap , so sad really as the print looks like it would have been good .

Re: Dadio's 3D Printing Stuff
Got some good advice from Facebook of all places , used a heat gun and straightened out the chassis
now to replace the home printed one .

Wow that straightened out really well, glad you got to salvage it.
Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.
