Rc10 4wd steering play

Anyone have a relatively high amount of play or slop in the new rc10 4wd buggy’s steering? I’ve built dozens of kits, many of them other rc10s, so I don’t think I made any mistakes while building, but let me know if you see something that I got wrong! Or if there are any common errors that are being discovered with this kit’s steering parts and/or instructions, please share!

From what I can tell, the slop seems to be coming from the balls and cups; ie, the balls fit rather loosely in the cups. As you can see, I replaced the cups on the servo turnbuckle with rpms, and that helped a little, but it still seems like a lot of play. The drag link and steering turnbuckles seem to be that main culprits. I guess I can try replacing all the other cups…

Sounds normal for an Associated kit.

I just used my last pack of B4 ball cups last week. They had slop in them as well.
Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.

Looks like all the play is in the blue ballcup attached to the steering input bellcrank. Tough angle but each time you turn the wheel to the left the input bellcrank peeks out from under the drive belt, but the servo turnbuckle doesn't move accordingly.
