Losi Jrx -JJJ
So, what do you do when you´ve torn down two complete Jrx-chassis cars to get the best parts into a -91 worlds replica and is left with a lot of parts. You also have a box full of new parts.
On top of that, you´ve got an unused carbon “hybrid” chassis from the GP3D -91 words kit laying around. You also find the Factory Works front brace you got a long time ago.
And you´ve always been fascinated by the looks of Jumping Jack Johnsons prototype car from 1989 ROAR nationals.
Of cause you warm up the computer, design some bits and start 3D printing.
First test print in white on the left, second print in the middle, current version on the right.

Re: Losi Jrx -JJJ
I don't think i've seen this prototype before but I like what I see.
Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.

Re: Losi Jrx -JJJ
What I expected:
What I got:
This is not going to be a direct replica. More inspiration taken from the looks of Jacks car.
The carbon chassis has Pro SE shape and I´m using the exising holes, so the central support is very different from the original.
Currently the ladder type sides are 3D printed, but they might get cut in carbon (without the bracing) for the finished car.
Let´s see where we end up with this one.

Re: Losi Jrx -JJJ
I placed an order from Fibre-Lyte for a couple of towers and braces for some ongoing projects.
Took the opportunity to have them cut the chassis sides in carbon, pricing was very reasonable.
The chassis rigidity compared to the 3D-printed sides is massive. The 3D-printed versions was PLA because that is what I have. I could have ordered printing in stiffer material, but the carbon option came so I went that way.
I have also realised that I´m missing some parts to be able to build the rear end like on the JJ car.
I put all the options on the table to have a think on how to do this.
I could build a JJJ Pro or perhaps a JJJ SE. Let´s see.
