It's the TC8, it's been known about since last year. The going rate for a touring car is around $700 these days.

And all race touring car bodies are that shape these days

AE has a video introducing the TC8 now. Masami is in the video. That makes me worry that he's not involved in a buggy project. :(

Yup TC8 has arrived. Looks like masami was recruited to help with the tc program first. With that said, Dadio, when can I pre-order a chain drive kit????? :D  :D  :D

Well, that's frustrating!!
AE would be crazy not to release the '89 or '91 car while they have Masami under contract.
Doing so, with Masami himself in the promo's, would be extremely profitable for them.

double team the competition was their slogan from the Team car advertisement

The more interesting part to me is that one was a tub, and the other a graphite- yet we still havent seen the 6 gear graphite.... so the timeline is off for this talk of "double team"

Interesting... I wonder if they are going to drop both kits at the same time? I feel like the market saturation is going to hurt the hobby long-term. I guess we will see🤷‍♂️

Depends on what a person considers the hobby to be... Tamiya has been rereleasing cars longer than they originally produced them, keeping customers happy, parts plentiful, and prices low, all without hurting the collector side as original Tamiya kits go for significantly more money than original Associated kits.

I wonder if the Kinwald set the new standard price point.

Probably. I think they are testing to see how far folks will go with pricing. It didn't cost $60-70 to machine the motor guard

I vote for going back to the RC10CC intro price of $319 for all new releases
