25 cars, and I hope I've not forgot anything...

The van is looking quite empty... I did not consider bringing more : I'm going to fetch a friend on the way, and I do not know the room he needs for his material... And I know there will be some goodies on the way back :)

How did you ever get 25 cars in such a small area....I've got two in here somewhere.... Maybe I brought too many spare parts or is that 1/12th vs. 1/10th packing?! I'm 5 minutes down the road from the track, arrived at 16:45.....4 pints down and a good dinner.....will be onsite 9am sharp tomorrow! FYI- Grey, cloudy sky on arrival with no rain....but light rain started about an hour ago.....hopefully, clear tomorrow!

I'm quite organized... Some of the boxes here have 4 cars and some are 2 or 3 cars... Few 1/12 and mainly 1/10 off-road cars... It's impressive how much we can pack in such space when playing tetris :-)...
I don't have much spares : I count on the quantity of the cars, so if I break one, I run another one :-)
I buy kits to build and ru(i)n them :-)

I start to finish painting some rims tomorrow and organize the boxes ;)

See you Friday afternoon ;)

Back from the event yesterday... It was great, and I have a few elements to sort out : in particular pics, vids, and getting the vids from my cars that my friends took while I was getting nice runs with them...

Image
Image

I will have to properly write about it but it was a very nice event... And awaiting the pics/vids being sorted out, a few take aways :
  • the offroad track was super pleasant this year, and for both 1/8 GP and 1/10 EP cars, with a very nice and vintage dirt, which looked like a mid eighties offroad track and definitely not a modern one
  • few cars had their first runs there : Racing Buggy, Zerda 2GT, Optima Mid 60th, Pancar 1/12 in Vaillante (Fiber chassis, Kyosho shaft) and Leader (Kydex chassis, M3 threaded rod shaft), with different tires, allowing for a clear validation of the chassis, with a lot of run time, and even some validation by pilot who tried the cars
  • There was a guy, there, his pit table was fully old school mode, up to the batteries charging and discharging pod- And none of us were as vintage spirit than he was, even the GP old school guys :-)... @TravelinTravis , that was really a pleasure to meet you
  • The Zerda 2GT is great on the track, and it did not belt slip :-)
  • The 380 RS well geared is a quick as a 540 silver can and the Racing Buggy was way quicker than I expected
  • The Fantom tires are really suitable for my pancars. The TPU 60A may still have interest for drifters while the EVA Foam may be very interesting if we find the proper density (what I had until now was way too hard
  • We race a bit, for the fun. Got my first victory with my pancar 1/12 EF-209. Also finished 2nd with the Turbo Scorpion during the Offroad electric race
  • stress test on the PETG pancar 1/12 differential has been surprisingly good - 1 hour and a half continuous run and no broken diff.
  • I broke a nylon printed differential on the second pancar. I'll have to make some check, but I believe there was two element caused the problem : the ESC was not set in F/B/R but F/R, and the motor pinion was not tighten enough which made it more difficult
  • Beside a broken diff, the Optima mid ESC died before I made the fourth run with the car. The on/off button appears dead, and I will probably have to replace this ESC.
  • And there is so much more to say, but first I need to sort pics and vids, and I don't want to spoil it for what @TravelinTravis and @Trass may have to say as well...
I buy kits to build and ru(i)n them :-)

Good evening everyone,

What can I say about this short two-and-a-half-day weekend (from Friday afternoon to Sunday)?

I was happy to have been able to meet some familiar faces and, above all, to enjoy the warm welcome we always receive from the members of the center's Mini Racing Club. Thank you, Benoit, Sébastien, and all the others!

A special shout-out to @Marc "Silver Triple Design," Laurent "Steve Warson," David "RC Papper" and Frantz "Hagar-Manobet," who spread good vibes throughout the event, as did all the participants.

Of course, I can't name everyone, but I'm thinking of each and every one of you. Yes, there were some girls ;)

A special shout-out to a special participant, Travis J. @TravelinTravis . One of the few to drive a 100% vintage electric car, including his pit, which was organized like an F1 team.

For my part, I really enjoyed driving my Serpent Taipan and my CRC Genx10LE. The TA05 got stuck.

I blew out the CRC's ESC just before the night race, so no police chase ;)

The Serpent Taipan's beautiful LOLA T310 bodywork took a beating at the end of the straight... I hit the grass, then rolled over (one and a half times), ended up on my roof (on the raised mirror), and took a hit from another car... Marc, not being far away at the time, picked up all the broken pieces... intake cones x8, spoiler, roll bar...
Everything was glued back together so I can keep a nice thing rolling!

I haven't unpacked anything from last weekend yet; we'll see next weekend.

Frantz "Manobet," who had never done a vintage outing, or even an RC one in that kind, was in high demand from all sides by participants, exhibitors, and visitors; his products were a resounding success!

In short, a very good weekend as usual, with a great atmosphere and top-notch organization (we won't mention the 4x2 GAS TT race scheduled for 11:00 a.m. (eleven: zéro zéro ;) ).

I'm going to try to convince my wife to participate in the 2025 Beleysanne and be there at least on Sunday.

Here are a few photos, but everyone knows I'm terrible at taking pictures. ;)

But why, oh why not talking about the TT GP race start procedure 🤣😂😂???
11:00 - Call for the participants, 3 buggys are started on the grid. There is a lot of tension and excitation in the stands
11:15 - Still only 3 buggys on the grid, the others are trying to start their engines
11:23 - Marc Vinay, the GP sorcerer has finished to start all the engines which were presented to him
11:25 - The 3 guys who had their buggys on the grid at 11:00 are refueling due to the engine stoping with empty tanks
11:30 - It's finally the start
11:32 - The 3 laps of the race are finished
11:45 - The EP guys are searching a starter table to make fun of the situation🤣
I buy kits to build and ru(i)n them :-)

I think I'll just leave everything packed up from Montlucon, throw it back in the car in June and head straight for Beleysanne!!!! My regret from this past weekend was not spending more time looking at all the cars you brought Trass.....the collection is amazing and I'll be sure to pass your table more in June!

I unpacked everything... The chance I have the truck for Belley are very thin, and the 208 is way smaller than the truck, I'm likely to take very much less cars...
And yes, Trass cars are great... Somehow, I regret not taking any pictures... And looking how dirt were the few of my cars I did not run, i just think Trass had a lot of work once back home...
