Tamiya Super Blackfoot

In 1992 Tamiya injected some more muscle into their Blackfoot 1/10 electric 2wd monster truck and created the Super Blackfoot. In a departure from previous iterations of the big wheel ORV platform, which contained minimal changes, the Super Blackfoot was a bumper-to-bumper upgrade over the original. Still sporting the bright red Frog based ABS plastic spaceframe chassis the latest truck would get bulked up by connecting the previously lifted uprights to wider upper and lower front control arms for an increase in track width. The steering was updated as well, implementing a bellcrank mounted servo saver, adjustable tie rods, spherical rod ends and upgraded spindles. The electronics remained sandwiched between the chassis rails under a new black molded cover and the previously bottom loading transversely mounted battery would now load from the side as its battery door was repurposed as a supporting structure for the Super Blackfoot's new independent rear suspension system. Featuring long lower a-arms and fixed upper camber links attached to a new gearcase that doubled as a rear bulkhead the entire truck would find itself supported by plastic bodied coilover friction shocks hanging down from the tall molded plastic shock towers. Driving the modern monster was a pinion, spur and bevel gear differential spun by a 540 motor out to a pair of metal dog bones. Tamiya's wheel adapters were retired in favor of 12mm hex drives fit with new single piece yellow plastic wheels enshrouded by Monster Pin Spike Tires. New graphics adorned the molded plastic Ford F-150 body which was loaded up with chrome bumpers, chrome grille, roll bar and offroad light pods. A large front bumper, bushings, mechanical speed controller, and Mabushi RS540 motor completed the unassembled kit, which would return again as the Bush Devil before its last hurrah as the King Blackfoot:

I have one still NIB, bought for Christmas 1994.
I wasn't heavy into RC cars back then, had some other things going on and the SBF sat on the shelf forever. Still on the shelf and I still have no interest in it.

I dunno the black foot series just never did anything for me.
