If you get the rear hubs from a XX CR Kinwald you get a third outer hole for the tie rod. Unfortunately they used the same part number as the CR hubs (A-2126), so they might be difficult to find unless there is a clear picture.Charlie don't surf wrote: ↑Tue Apr 29, 2025 8:51 am I would normally increase the rear tie rod length to get more rotation, but I'm limited by the 2 hole CR hub carriers.

JRX A-2025's Hubs maybe? More holes than any one person could ever know what to do with. Never mind, I think that would actually make tie-rod shorter, not what you are after.

Re: Double X CR modern racer
Track day on Fri, steering has improved with lighter oil overall, opening up the rear pistons . Ran super tacky JC Ellipse slicks (typically better low speed steering, lighter, but edgy) and Rawspeed Gumballs (heavier, more high speed steering, less low speed steering)
The day started in the 13.1 sec range before changes and ended with 12 1 range, with one 11.5 so overall way better and now faster than the B2.
Sie note, the JC racing arms are nice and stiff, but also wider than stock by 3mm

Re: Double X CR modern racer
So the consensus on the Rawspeed Gumball slicks at my local track is that its a good tire for our surface, especially when we have a large layout. However the front 2WD profile seems to be the limiting factor on low speed sections because narrow/traditional width and profile vs the Jconcepts Ellipse slicked off, due to the increased width and profile of that tire (both in super soft compound). The Jconcepts tire is superior in low speed areas...but very sensitive in high speed and off camber sections, but you have to first slick the tire, then they're good for 7-10 runs before they stretch and your tire is junk. That's a pain in the ass.
The Rawspeed start to really come in after 10 runs, and are good for 30 easily before foams break down and need to be replaced.
Long story short, I have a new set of Gumball slicks that I'm trying that are Jconcepts 2WD front width and profile.
