Shower door issue

Lots of handy people here, hopefully someone can help me. I have been having trouble cleaning my shower. The bottom of the aluminum framed glass door does not drain anywhere. Is it supposed to drain out these openings in the pan? There is one on each side of the door.

Mine has three drain holes along the bottom of the channel.

By the way the caulk has been slathered on the door frame, it is likely covering the weep holes that are usually in the bottom track. You will be able to see where the holes are from the inside of the track, they will be the places where caulk has been randomly smooshed into the track.

If this is the case, remove the existing caulk and reapply a smaller, cleaner bead that doesn't obstruct the drain holes.

Halgar hit the nail on the head with the weep holes in the door channel... but those large openings in the shower base are drains for releasing water from behind the shower wall panel, not for door drainage.

Nabbed a few pics off the web so you can see the kinds of holes in the frame you should be looking for... they may be at the ends, or in the middle... round, oval...

That is what I needed to know, thanks! It does have drain holes in the aluminum but they are not low enough to let all of the water out. I may have to expand them.
