Body for Kyosho Outlaw Rampage Pro restoration

Post by Scottzone »

Trying to decide on a body for my restoration. The obvious choice is the TBG Pro XRT body. However, the negatives are that it is expensive and does not include window masks or the wing. I also like the look of the RC10GT bodies and they are cheaper and include the masks and wing. Not sure they would fit correctly, but they do have provisions for the rear shocks. Open to any other suggestions as well.

Me personally, the Pro XRT

MCI has the decals and probably has the masks as well.

Those are just good looking trucks.

PRO XRT body... unless you're going box art... then RC10GT... because I wanna see a GT body with an XRT paint scheme.

Though, TBG's prices are in Canadian dollars, making the body like $33 bucks US, so... cheaper-ish.

Is this for your electric conversion truck? Would an XRT body work with that? It has the rear shock tower in the back just like an RC10GT, so I can see how that body might work.

As far as I can tell, the XRT body is exactly the same and has provisions for both shock locations.

For "Other" there's the Sabula Tech "Flag" for the RC10GT:

The TBG/JConcepts 6134:

Or 9516:

There's also a Proline/Protoform '99 Silverado style, single cab, rear tower body for the GT on eBay, if I come across it again I'll post the picture.

Well then, I'll add another option.

This is the JConcepts Finnisher that I used on my RC10 E-GT conversion.

Would love to see these painted. Google is not turning up much.

Little too modern, but I love that paint job!

Took me long enough, but... I found it:

www.ebay.com/itm/134161117961

RC10GT Body For Sale.jpg

Looking at the quality, and the fact that the seller has so many, safe to say it's a re-pop. Also didn't remember the all-in price was over $100...

...but I spent enough time searching for the thing so, here it is.

Keep in mind the "blue pan" GT's bodies were longer than the tub GT's, so many of the late GT bodies might be longer.

It's not a copy of the Proline.
