Early edinger shock gaskets I/D and O/D

Post by JosephS »

Hello all,
Does anyone know the outer diameter of the shock gaskets used on early Edinger RC10's
When was the diameter changed? Were these early only or early and mid Edingers?

Was the part kept at the same number 6468?

I can only measure the parts I have. I can’t help with changeover timelines.

0.675” OD

0.500” ID

Thanks for that. I have some of those gaskets as well. I am starting an early mid Edinger rebuild and I want to make sure I know what I am getting going after those parts.

The early one were like half that width. Only slightly larger than the cap.

The one I have is .5” inner diameter 0.6” (15.4 mm) outer diameter.

Closest OD from McMaster Carr metric

I'm not exactly sure what these are made of.

It looks like from this reference. The gasket size is 014, maybe 112

Like a few of the early associated parts, airplane parts supply seems like a source

I added the metric to see if the caliper revealed more accuracy
