You can also adapt wheels that use 8mm OD bearings but using 3/16x5/16x1/8 bearings. I use those to put Kyosho rere wheels on a lot of my runners. I use TRB RC TRB-100494

Team CRP has metric conversion axles in 2 different widths, to use wheels with metric bearings. It keeps the whole built a bit more vintage, except for the wheels.

I just checked eBay, looks like those axles are sold out.

I did the same, I couldn’t find any of the axles to use Tamiya wheels, just the 3/16 sized ones.

I did the same, I couldn’t find any of the axles to use Tamiya wheels, just the 3/16 sized ones.

Mine says that they have: 4- 5mm axle, 4- 5mm wide axle, 3- 5mm truck axle, and 3- 3/16 axle.

A while back, I needed a set of the truck axles and they didn't show in stock. I messaged them and they said that they had plenty, it just wasn't updated.
