2.2" wheels for TRX-1 & TRX-3
what wheel options have you found that work for a TRX-1 and TRX-3? Do the Traxxas 2474 Bandit wheels work? They look like they would. How about fronts? anyone make a wheel that fits a 10mm bearing that has the right offset?

Probably these, although you should confirm with them.

Even though they are in the UK, my orders have always arrived surprisingly quick.
Just note that the fronts are the narrow design. You will need matching tiles. Schumacher and Pro-line have a few. JC Racing also has some of their own. I have also used vintage 2.15" tires on them.
Just didn't confuse JC Racing with JConcepts. I see it happen often.

Or you could find some TRA2672 rears 2.2 for TPC/TRX-3. I've ran hexes on the rear before (I believe they were Schmacher pre mounted), never the Bandit wheels though. You could just order a pair of Bandit hex rears and see if they fit, then convert the front to hex using Bandit knuckles and carriers and run the Bandit fronts too. Or if you can find a set of original Bandit wheels, pin drive rears and bearings in wheel front. I guess the mini e Revo wheels are hex and sized at 1/10th 2.2 buggy. Those for the rear? Not sure about the offset though.
Hope you're doin' something fun.

The Team Durango DEX 210 front wheels are disc style, and use 5x10mm bearings. They have a modern offset, so they might narrow the front down a bit. You could compensate with Bandit arms.

Re: 2.2" wheels for TRX-1 & TRX-3
There's numerous options as mentioned above.
Get yourself some washers and possibly some wheel nuts with different thicknesses. For the rear, you can fit a hex and use a B6 style wheel if you're not too worried about width.
Pin drive wheels are still available in both metric and imperial axle diameters with less offset. You could drill/ream out a 3/16 RC10 wheel to possibly fit with better offset? I haven't done this myself.
Or, save yourself all this hassle and just get some Bandit pin drive rears?
For the front, these wheels take either a 10 or 11mm bearing. I don't recommend the DT02 wheels, too much slop around the bearings. Front width will vary. Kyosho Ultima fronts might work, too?
The front hex option can be done with Bandit/Rustler parts as TRX-1-3 mentioned. This involves, dremeling, changing turnbuckles and hinge pins, and drilling a new camber link hole in the shock tower. Apparently Losi JRX-PRO axles fit the standard steering knuckles if you want to use those wheels and imperial bearings.

Dirtburner, thanks for all the info. I didn’t know about the yokomo universals as an option. also the suggestion to skip the dt02 front wheels. That was one option I was looking at.

Re: 2.2" wheels for TRX-1 & TRX-3
I forgot, for the rear, the 1/16 e-Revo rims TRX7171 or any of the complete wheels are a good match. I haven’t mounted them to any of my Traxxas cars, but they work great on the RC10.
I’ll try to check later on a Bandit.

What size are the outdrives needed? Or, what is the issue with the outdrives?
Hope you're doin' something fun.

Re: 2.2" wheels for TRX-1 & TRX-3
OK, gotcha, I didn't realize you were running the Stealth in the previous pic with the Yokomo universals. I know A&L bones fit the Stealth outdrives, so was thinking maybe the A&L outdrives used in their dogbone kit for TRX-1 (currently out of stock) fit the Yokomo universals. This might solve the trailing arm axle fiasco I've come up against in the past. Thank you for the clarification.Dirtburner wrote: ↑Fri Jun 27, 2025 2:45 amScreenshot_20250627_083441_Chrome~2.jpg
