A Team AE front end RC-10 screw set went for $49 on eBay. Yikes. I went with these. They look like a good match.

Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.

I bought a bunch of those as well. The color isn't quite as consistent as the originals but I just started putting together my Team Car with then and so far the quality seems good. My no. 2 Phillips bit fits in very nicely.

Re: The Kinwald Edition RC10 (it is here!)
Color is pretty variable on original screws. I wound up going down a rabbit hole collecting NIP 8/32 screws. Within a batch they are consistent, within a package they are consistent. Over time they are pretty different. The Team Knk screws that I have are the 'lighter' ones and were consistent with my Edinger screw package. The Cadillac era screws seem to be closer to the 'dark' color.
There is also green from the re-release.

Re: The Kinwald Edition RC10 (it is here!)
Any black, standard size servo should suffice as close enough.
In the pictures that I seen, his servo (Airtronics) didn't even have the sticker on it.
If you want the black with red stripe wiring, it only came on older style Airtronics and Sanwa servos.
If you decide to go with a vintage Airtronics servo, be aware that their plug and wiring pinout is different than modern servos. Nearly all modern servos use the Futaba/JR/Hitec wiring.
Later Airtronics servos have what they call a Z plug. The plug is blue and one of the wires is blue. They are compatible with radios that use the common plugs.
Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.

Thanks, I'll just look around for a older Airtronics one just to get the look as close as possible. I have a couple but they're being use in pan cars and are probably too small technically.juicedcoupe wrote: ↑Mon Jun 30, 2025 5:18 pmAny black, standard size servo should suffice as close enough.

Re: The Kinwald Edition RC10 (it is here!)
I did find that the "light" color was much more consistent. And even though the "dark" gold varies in color i should say that it's a minor gripe. To have easy access to these screws is a relief. They are much better than the new black steel ones in the re release kits in my opinion. Probably just because they are like the originals.JosephS wrote: ↑Mon Jun 30, 2025 1:23 pmColor is pretty variable on original screws. I wound up going down a rabbit hole collecting NIP 8/32 screws. I really like the steel screws. They aren't period correct but I have no fears about stripping them out on a simple installation. I think these are great for runners.Rc10812 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 30, 2025 5:42 pmI did find that the "light" color was much more consistent.
