Picked up some Parts at a LHS to get started... and had some other parts also to rebuild and clean up..
Working on cleaning up a stainless steel chassis right now, its the ultima with the roll cage. Have a aluminum one too but seems very week.

Re: 1st Gen Ultima Build for Nats
if I were you I would use the gold option house ones, they work WAY better than these, the shaft is particularly fragile and prone to bending, just tossing my 2 cents

i have an extra set of the red shocks that have the alloy clamps you desire.
i need some alloy bellcranks for an ultima or rc10 if you wanna trade.

Re: 1st Gen Ultima Build for Nats
You could use the suspension arms from an Ultima Pro XL. They are longer than the standard Ultimas. They are tougher to find, though. I would also use gold shocks...or equalizers. Equalizers are period correct and I think they are better than the golds. If you want, you can also add the Turbo Optima slipper gear. That may be worth it to protect the drivetrain.
