they were London based distributors and manufacturers, famous for their (cheap) motors and cells, they also did Alu parts, ballraced steering kits, a whole bunch of stuff.. They even sponsored at the Worlds in '93.
I'll see what Ads I have in old Radio Race Cars, but i know you have a bunch of old mags Matt too...
cheers for the info Tom, yes so far I have found some photos of few cars with Team Tanaplan decals but no adverts as yet, my early years of RRCI are not complete so if you find anything I would be grateful.
If anyone has any photos of their motors or even one for sale please drop me a line.
Looking for any help sourcing factory team shocks for a T4 team truck build. Can be either the old 1.02 front and 1.39 rear shocks or the most recent 12x27.5mm and 12x36mm shocks. Is there anywhere FT shock kits can be bought? Or is the only way to...

And what the heck is up with AE discontinuing big bore shock kits, which they still sell with many of their kits?

the kashima coat bodies are pretty cheap online so a set can...
One of the kits I have factory sealed that I decided to build and try to re-live my first memories of my first B3 :). I have not yet found the build pictures but here is a couple of it completed. I will update this thread once I locate the build...

Wow, good score on that B3!
I love the B3 and building this one brought back some good memories for me :).
I was practicing airbrushing and figured I'd do a couple extra, they are in BST. The blue viper team car body has a very small blemish on the nose. Whatcha think?
Here is the nose blemish:

Finished the original team car ad bodies I'll be keeping for my collection. Thought I'd share.
Do you notice any handling differences between the RC10 graphite team car and the RC10 team car with tub chassis (both fitted with white nylon parts throughout)?
I haven't driven either yet. Been a while...greetings all :)

I would say the tub chassis has more flex and probably a lot bigger sweet spot for setup
Hey guys, i am pretty sure that this is in the wrong place but i am not sure where to put it if anywhere on this site. I am looking at buying a modern day Team Associated car, an RC10T4.1 to be exact. Is there a place to go to discuss modern day...

I have decided on the T4.1 although the Team Associated's web site is all sold out. I found it on eBay for $245, everything except a battery and a charger, probably gonna buy it tonight.
Got this B3 today for a good price from eBay overall in reasonable condition, but it needs a few parts like chassis motor plate etc. It also came with a shed load of tyres and wheels. The plan is to restore it and use it as a runner. It's my first...

Ive fitted a b4 layshaft and slipper system with ease. You will need to remove the foam washer on the outside of the gearbox tho.
Id also use the chassis as is but get zepin cell hole brass weights as youll need it and also buy losi 1042 axles and...
I am sure most folks have seen the news a couple days ago, but for those who haven't an updated version of the B6/B6D has been announced:
I am most interested in the new rear arms and 'lay back' transmission options, hopeful both will...

I'm curious to see how they compare on high traction turf to the B6. We are already adding weight to the nose of the b6 to get enough steering bite. Shortening the chassis might help with this but moving the weight of the motor rearward seems...
In 1970 Associated Electrics introduced their first radio-controlled vehicle, the gas powered 1/8th scale RC-1. Updated continually throughout its production run the RC-1 was constructed almost entirely out of metal. A 3/16's thick 6x14 flat...

Hiya Steve,
Thank you, I appreciate the compliment. A lot of information came from the instruction manual and Associated's website:
www.associatedelectrics.com/teamassociated/cars_and_trucks/RC1/RC1/
which also has a picture of a parts list.
