More old school meets new school :D This runner project was the product of having left over parts from my composite craft truck build: a heavily used "A" gold tub, front truck nose and hacked motor plate. Basically another standard build with current electronics and tires (still on 1/4" axles) To set it apart as many others have done, I went and cut down the tub as well as trim the nose plate. With the truck nose plate, I was instantly gearing towards a "world's" front end and ordered up some arms from dynotech, but left the rear end stock. I'm also running a 17.5 motor and found gearing it the most interesting part. It didn't take long to realize brushless motors need to /can be geared to the moon

Hi jwscab, I have an associated viper body on the tekin car. The key is to trim a little heavy around the rear shock towers. I've tried the other rc10 bodies (protech I and II) but they just don't seem to fit correctly no matter how much you cut them. Luckily you can still get the viper from towerhobbies and a few other online places for around $12-$14.

Yeah, I think you're right. The Viper body fits the best. I had to cut little notches in the back for where the shock tower bolts to the chassis too.

very cool, thanks for the info. I've been dusting off the collection lately. I have a bunch of stuff, but it's not all RC10. I wanted to snap some pics as they sit, you know, like being found in a barn, hahhah, before I clean em all up. Should I post individual pics in the relevant sections, or where would I post a thread of pics of the collection?

awesome site, have been lurking for a bit and decided to join to contribute.

Yup Rich is right too, one lower cut out on each side to compensate for the rear shock tower lower mounts and you're all set! As for posting pics I'd put them in the relevant sections and if you're feel'n sneaky, post a group pic at the end :D

Hi guys, I found some time away from my busy schedule to get some paint on my world's car. Simple paint job, but stickers always help to set it apart. Now for a few pictures :D

Very Impressive!

Digging quite a few of those. Always been a fan of the Tekin kit. The others look great too.

Regarding the custom CF tower, how thick is it? I can get my hands on CF sheets and I think its a tad thin, considered sandwiching two pieces together. Any words of advice when working with CF?
