Gold edition Lunchbox with Gold Sees wheels
Thanks to Brandon for the wheels, they look great. The gold anodized centers have more of a copper tone to them than the tamiya plating, which is more yellow, but I think they look good together.

Wow!. Now I have only seen the traditional yellow ones. Was this a limited run body or something? Looks phenomenal BTW.

Anthony won these from the raffle at the VONATS. Funny thing is, he was the only one running the Lunchbox chassis in the heavy metal class. Some things just work out that way, I guess.....
I think the whole ride looks great!

I'm pretty sure that younger kid had a Lunchbox under that Pajaro lid.

Re: Gold edition Lunchbox with Gold Sees wheels
There's one of these bodies on the racks at my hobbyshop I believe. If anyone is interested I can check the price for it next time.
They also have a NIB midnight pumpkin kit 'metalic special' I've been considering to pick up. For 80$ it is cheap fun, but then I need e new receiver and ESC to put in it also, and bearings ofcourse, and...

Re: Gold edition Lunchbox with Gold Sees wheels
The kits released overseas often do NOT have one. For some reason they feel the rest of the world needs an ESC but they do not. Perhaps their breakfast cereals come with a TEU101-BK as a prize???bngiles wrote:I believe they both come with an ESC in the kit...

Re: Gold edition Lunchbox with Gold Sees wheels
you have to be careful with the teu101 that comes in with the kits. it has 2 wires that go to the rx, one is for the battery, the other is for ch2. it puts full voltage to the rx, so you have to use a BEC receiver. I did not realize this at first and it took a while to figure out why my servo was all of a sudden so much faster than in other cars. Many new rx units do not have BEC built in. The most recent futaba AM (r142 I think)is what I used and had to swap it out for an older r122je. the spektrum units will work on 7.2v, but will pass the full power on to the servo.
