T4 body on 10T tub?
T4 body on 10T tub?
Anyone use a T4 body on the black/ gold tub? Now I'm building a 10T runner so I need a body. However, only T3 and T4 body is available. What other modications needed to make them fit? Also, the 10T require 2.62" turnbuckles all round right? Any advises is very much appreciated. Thanks.

Re: T4 body on 10T tub?
RC10 t3 bodies will fit on there, without too many mods:
For the rear dont' use the stock 10t body mounts, use a body post on the tranny brace, like you would on a RC10 buggy, but make sure it's a bit longer.
The front mount will work without any mods.
The body that would look best, besides the Original 10T, it's a 10T2 body, Like I've used on my Vintage Nationals Truck, make sure that you use the RPM rc10gt body mounts and use the inner mounting points, and it'll fit perfectly.
the 10t2 bodies you can still find on ebay.

I'm in the process of adapting my JConcepts T4 Illuzion body to my RC10T w/ Tekin mid motor conversion. I'll post some pics when I get it done.

Like tecnica2001 said the T2 fits perfect and looks period correct, and Associated still shows the T2 body #6132 as a Available part, I had my LHS order me one couple of months ago.

i have a t3 crowd pleazer on my 10T. just use a long post in on the tranny brace like technica posted above. fits pretty good. looks nice if you want the "modern" look but i think i might try and find a period correct body.

Got it! Thanks acerpower1. Had placed an order for the T4 Crowdpleazer but...where to find the RPM mounts? ITowers do not have them... Any ideas? Preferrably Ebay stores? Thank you once again.

Boo on the T4 body Boooo
Just kidding...
RCboyz I think still have them: http://cgi.ebay.com/RC10GT-Blue-Adjustable-Width-Truck-Body-Mounts_W0QQitemZ350100043394QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item350100043394&_trkparms=72%3A1205%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
I've bought from them many times very reliable.
If not, just type in RC10gt body mounts.
Hope that helps.

Re: T4 body on 10T tub?
towerhobbies still has them. i just checked, i can't figure out how to post a link(not so good with computers) but, towers stock number is:LXEV48
manufacturers stock#80542
i know the t2 body looks period correct and better in some opinions but,
i don't feel as bad messing up a t4 body when i flip my truck.
plus, i didn't see any t2 bodies at tower when i last ordered a body.
SO PLEASE DON'T HATE ON ME!

Just stick in a truck body and bash the bugger!
