I need some help from you guys. I have a Sparmax AC-100 home in EU and I would like to find the same or a similar one in quality. Where is a good place to shop?

any reason why i cant use my garage compressor set at a low psi with a cheap airgun kit..
or will i get same results with a spray paint can?
you could use an airbrush hooked to a shop air compressor, set at low pressure. if you would try to use a small spray gun at low pressure, it will not atomize the paint enough, do to the larger tip size. the paint will come out in drops, instead of fine particles.
an airbrush has a very small needle, and will atomize the paint efficiently at a low air pressure.

scr8p, I have yet to try as I assumed it would be difficult to regulate low pressure. Any additional advice/specs on airbrush? Thanks.
i'm not much of an airbrush guy. most of my r/c paint jobs are easily done with a spray can.
i do have an airbrush. i've had it for years. i haven't used it too much. it's a single action aztec, i think. if you want a good one, look for a dual action airbrush. that way you can regulate the amount of paint and air pressure while you spray. just like a full size automotive spray gun.
that's about all the help i can give about airbrushes, specs wise. get a dual action airbrush.
Hey guys I have a couple questions regarding airbrushing. I have an older airbrush that was a gift from my dad several years ago (around 10). I am making my first attempt at any kind of custom airbrush painting on a new body for my 4wd buggy. I am...

Sorry to poke in here, just trying to learn more about airbrushing as it's the one media I haven't tried yet. But someone mentioned Nitrogen. I can tell ya from personal experience that stuff moves so much faster than air. I used to build minitrucks...
Hey guys, so I stopped in at a LHS today and asked the guy about airbrush kits. He recommended starting out with a Badger 350 because it would be easy to clean and a good way to get started painting.
He also suggested if I wanted to go to something...

I'm about to buy my first airbrush, a Hobby King (TG-130-K).
Is it wise to buy a spare set of needles at the same time? Is that a common need?
OK, so I have this 4 gallon Husky pancake compressor my dad bought for years ago, he never used it and it sort of become mine when I bought my house. It works fine, but it's just loud as heck. I was looking to hook up a roughly 10 gallon tank to it,...

OK, cool. Yeah, no heavy work or powering tools or anything, just generally cleaning stuff, the kind of stuff you'd use cans of compressed air for.
I've recently purchased an airbrush compressor, with a few airbrushes, tips, hoses, etc. And, since the weather here in WI is less than adequate to paint outdoors, I'm looking to get ideas on how I can set something up in my basement utility room....

My station is temporary, and easy to put up and take down as needed. Most everything just gets thrown inside it, and then it gets thrown under a table. The top of the cabinet is my charging station most of the time.
Recently started airbrushing and using proline… it scratches off inside very easy. I’ve noticed others have had similar experience even after backing the paint in a Rustoleum or krylon clear. Anyone else using a brand different than proline and had...

Acrylic paints are quite soft when dry and easily scratched as a whole , the only solution is to put a final coat of a more durable paint on to back it .
I'm moving over to Acetone based paints but you really need to use a fume extraction paint...
I'm having problems getting my airbrush to spray paint or even water for that matter. Its fairly clean and has worked before with no problems. I'm running it at about 40 psi. Any thoughts on whats going on?

Nevermind. I got it figured out. I think that the needle wasn't seated right in the nozzle.
I have a ton of lexan to paint and need to get a good airbrush. I'm lookng for what you guys are using. I want internal mixing so I believe that is a 2 stage or dual stage...something like that. I've heard good things about badger and the LHS...

All of the top artists I know use Iwata, myself included. I still have a Badger 150 single action that I have had at least 25 years and still works fine. I have not personally heard anyone complain about or dislike their Iwata. I really like my...
Just recently got a airbrush and compressor so I've been playin .
This was my first go at a body , it's externally painted over an old runner body .
Meant to be a dragon and i might try some flames as well soon .

I think you did a good job! I've used airbrushes for various hobbies over the years and while there is a learning curve, they produce excellent results with a little practice and understanding. Painting backwards is also another level of complexity....
