Re: Team losi street weapon
Can't go wrong using the drivetrain from such an awesome car as the XX-4
Almost bought one in nice condition for US$30 a while ago...But,I have my JRX-S and that's as much touring car as anyone would ever need!

Re: Team losi street weapon
Are the street weapons still considered competitive for racing? I have a XX4 that is still very competitive, but I don't really know much about the touring car scene. I'll see a street weapon or a rally weapon come up from time to time at very reasonable prices.

Re: Team losi street weapon
I think ANY car with solid, proven engineering can be made competitive.
The Street Weapon certainly has that.
I think Joel Johnson won the first ever Touring Car Nationals with a Street Weapon.
Trivia:Pop Losi also ran Variflex Skateboards and Gil Jnr.'s brother Alan skated for them (naturally).
Alan losi later started a skateboard company called L.S.D.-Losi Skate Designs, and released a board called the 'Road Weapon'!

Re: Team losi street weapon
Nah,just years of skateboarding when I was younger, mixed with a (un?)healthy dose of RC cars...You pick up these things!
Variflex was a pretty big,successful company,once.
I think they went out of business in the mid '80's when skateboarding exploded and they couldn't keep up...My first skateboard was a Variflex *sob*
