Looky What I Just 'Stole'...
I managed to scoop this XXX-S for a whopping NZ$80! (US$40)
It's local, too,so the shipping was only US$5.It's in really nice shape,too-it only ever saw a racetrack, never a parking lot.
The guy sure loved his red alloy, huh?!
Any suggestions for a body and wheels?
I'm thinking of a 200mm HPI '66 Mustang body and some nasty 6mm offset wheels with a chrome rim.
Now I need to sell my JRX-S...

Wow that looks the business. Since it's a sealed drivetrain I would make it an off road rally car. It's truly disheartening to find out what stuff is worth second hand. I once bought a carpet ran Xray T1 for $50.00
Re: Looky What I Just 'Stole'...
That's cool! Not to hijack your thread but I actually have 3 of these. I was/am going to use for Trans-Am racing. The first pair I got complete with radios, chargers and extra batteries for $125.00 US. One of them is actually the graphite version.

Mine's the graphite version,too!!
What a steal! This has to be one of the best scores I've come across.
A rally car...Hmmmm.It's replacing my JRX-S as my only touring car,but a rally setup would be cool.
Oh,I'm not worried about anyone 'highjacking' any of my threads, mate.
I'm pleased to have your input.
I LOVE the Trans Am cars...Swede Savage,AAR 'Cuda's,those evil Boss 302 Mustangs...YUM!
I'm actually converting my 302 Windsor in my Super Street drag car to a Boss 302.
Windsor block,Cleveland 2V heads and a huge double pumper!

We here in New Zealand have an abundance of Clevo heads-2V & 4V!
Cheap as chips,mate.
The heads wouldn't cost you much, but they're cast iron,so the shipping would be up there. Can do though, dude.
There's a 429 Super Cobra Jet Torino for sale here,at the moment...Hope I win the lottery

Love my Ford V8'S.
My Super Street car is a 1974 Ford Capri (sold as Mercury Capri's in America) with a 400hp Windsor in her.
Weighs 900kg's!
Roller cam, roller lifters, roller rockers, double row true roller adjustable timing chain, factory TRW pistons,Edelbrock Performer intake and a 600cfm Edelbrock carb, running through a kitted C4 auto,to an Aussie Falcon Borg Warner 78 diff.
Gutted interior, sheet metal door trims,6 point cage...I love it.
Need to get back to work on it.

Please excuse the dusty engine bay...

I can only fantasize about the fun to be had with a 429 and a 4 speed!

Maybe you and I should import and export some Ford parts and make us some money,Rick

I wanted to put a manual transmission in the V8 Capri, but traction would be out the window...It's so light it's not funny!
Positronic-Mine had a 2 litre in it,when I bought it.
I swapped in a V6 crossmember, designed the engine mounts and had the best welder I could find fabricate them...I had him build a jig also,so I can keep having them easily made. They work really well, the engine looks like the factory put it there-always a sign of a good engine conversion!

Still have a pair of Windsor/Cleveland into Capri here...Don't dream it,build it!
