Can anybody tell me what this is for
I found this steering mechanism in a pile of other stuff I have..I think I bought it in about 1990-92 but not sure what it was for. If it had of fit one of my cars I would have used it I guess..I had mostly Kyosho in those days..being red it's Hot Trick but what?

That's what I thought but they might be back to front in the picture or I've got it upside down..Halgar wrote:You don't know what that's for??? That's the left side steering arm for the Kyosho ... Or was it the right side suspension dampener for the ...![]()

Re: Can anybody tell me what this is for

Re: Can anybody tell me what this is for
Ok I guess if I could figure out how they are supposed to go together it might become more obvious to someone...so are they back to front or upside down?..

Re: Can anybody tell me what this is for
Take the Part on the Right, Flip it, and move it to the other side. Looks REALLY close to Hot Trick 10 Parts, except for that one Bend.
Well, after a bit of research, maybe it doesnt look "that" much like Hot Trick.

Well, I think we know what they are, now it a question of what they're for.

Re: Can anybody tell me what this is for
I've never seen a complete Red Prince (the Frog kit), but I do recall seeing some Hotshots. The linkage went in the center, so if these are for the Hotshot the left one is oriented correctly-- you just need to flip the right piece over the left one along the left's vertical (in the picture) axis (of course assuming the bottom of the picture would be the front of the buggy
). There's a pic of a Hot Trick Hotshot here ( http://www.chucksquared.com/stf_cars_RC.aspx ), but the steering linkages look black (perhaps painted??), but you can get the idea. My money's on Hotshot steering components.
EDIT: here's even more pics: http://www.rcchopshop.com/hottrick/woobergoober.html
Some of the links are broken, but the Prince and RC10 had flat linkage arms, so those are out. The Hotshot one is tough to see but I think between the two link I provided I see an elevation difference on the linkage arm.

The preceding contained opinions, beliefs and thoughts that all may not agree with. No offense was intended at any point. Carry on.
