Re: rc nerd
Whatever you do don't tell your wife that she needs a hobby too and that if she gets one she will understand. Been there, done that. We now have 4 sewing/quilting/embroidery machines in the house, and every time I go to check 10-talk I am logged off my profile an she has her quilting forum up.greazy wrote:My wife just came in as I was looking at the site and said I am R/C Nerd !

Re: rc nerd
I got the same kind of thing from my better half. I have multiple interests, RC as well as cars etc.
"How many forums are you on, anyway?"
I think now I probably visit about 15-20 not to mention some of the lesser ones Im a member of just to view content but rarely post. She doesn't get how I can have so many. I told her its all about different information. I've used the porn/bar argument as well. I just get dirty looks.

Mine's always walking by and asking ...
"So what are you typing about now?"
So I start to try and explain and by the time I get about halfway
through the explanation her eyes have started glossing over.........

Once my wife said: "Hey, there's a turnbuckle on the table. Put it away."
I almost fell over backward because she was able to identify a turnbuckle.

Re: rc nerd
My wife told me "You need therepy" after I showed her a scale subwoofer box with a scale alpine amplifier mounted on the box that I had made for my scale Bronco. But then when I turned on the MP3 player with built in speaker that I had mounted inside the speaker box and it played Linkin Park, she said "now that's cool".
