Re: King Cab Restore / Rebuild
I will be watching this one, I am a big fan of the king cab/hilux. Where did you find that body if you don't mind me asking. I used to see them pop up from a seller in Australia I think from time to time, but havn't seen one in a while. Looks better than I was imagining, look well detailed like the og. Nice build!

Re: King Cab Restore / Rebuild
I've got one from the guy down under. If you don't want to wait and/or pay a pretty penny for a Tamiya original, it is the next best thing. You can't really even notice the difference. They are done very well. I would recommend it.
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

Re: King Cab Restore / Rebuild
I have one too.
One almost complete (I think it needs a dogbone) the other is mainly parts. 2 bodies both painted. Its stashed away for now. no space to really work on projects, but i hope to soon.
Nice car!

Re: King Cab Restore / Rebuild
Fakiee nice project Sir
what are you going to do to eliminate the slipping issue of the Astute ball diff
It won't be too bad if you never intend running anything hotter than standard motors but if you want to go modified at any point I see it causing problems

Experience is that marvelous thing that enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.
