Technigold Question

Post by FasterLouder »

I just totally stole a Technigold motor in great working condition for $10!
The only problem is,the decal had been removed, which is also why I got it so cheap-the guy advertised it as "an old Mabuchi motor"!
Is anyone printing repro Technigold decals?
I'd really like to use it for my NIP BigWig build...

I have not head of anybody reproing the decal. It would be costly with a limited market. Now you know why NIB pristine motors go for $120+

Just an FYI, the motor was made by Macbuchi. I have a couple of generic Technipower motors that have only a Mabuchi branded sticker on them.

Yes indeed they were sold too with no label.

I got them around $40 cheaper just in a zip lock bag.

They were solde as a Mabuchi Gold too in Aus.

Cheers

speaking of the Technigold, any one remember how many turns it is?

Nice! Thanks. I always remember the Technigold being a much hotter motor then 21T. I was much younger then, and it was my first motor after a silver can 540, so I guess it would have been a huge difference then!

I may still have a can: going to have to dig deep to find it and check if it has the sticker on it.

Bitd Graupner also sold these moters in their own boxes, bit cheaper than the same moter in the tamiya branded box
