i have a feeling it was actually a short arm car. it has the 2 hole front tower and the offset steering knuckles. someone just put the wide track arms on it at some point in time.

Hold off buying anything until someone can positively identify the RC10 you have, I'm not even 75% sure.
I saw a protech II body on ebay for $47... Not going to pay that much for a body for this car though. I think I will just get the viper body from Tower Hobbies.

That's what I was thinking happened to it too.. And why I mentioned finding the short front arms for it. I may just leave it though with long arms. I can't wait for it to get here, should be here sometime this week.

I missed the shock tower initially and that's what got me wondering, I thought it looked like it might have had CE wheels on but again now I'm not sure, I guess I was CE blinded

Woo Hoo... Got an email at work earlier that my RC-10 arrived at my doorstep. So I went home at lunch to get it off the porch and put it in the house. I opened to take a peek at it. It's it really good condition. There are just a few very small scratches on the chassis but from 3 feet away you can't see any. I will take some pics tonight and post them up. I am going to take it apart and clean it up a little better. It does need front and back tires.

Here's some pictures of it. In the first Pic mine is on the left and my brother-in-laws is on the right. Which BTW he told me to just keep it, that he didn't really want it and that his young boys would demolish it. He said he knew it had a safe home here with my other 8 RC cars.

Now the one I got from ebay. Holy crap does it have a nice chassis, def won't be running this one. Shelf Queen for this one...

My pictures suck, the parts are whiter than they appear in these. The servo mounts are extra from the other car, that's why they look so yellow.

Anyone got any info on the metal rear knock offs. I'd like to try to find some for the front if possible.

Gotta get some white shock collars for it soon.

I am going to switch both the cars front tires around, IE put the right cars frt tires on the left cars wheels. The tires on the ebay car are sad....

That's a nice clean buggy. Sweet. Too bad these chassis are not available for 20 at the lhs, then you could actually run this machine. Which reminds me, wasn't there talk a couple years back about Associated bringing back the original RC10? Or did I dream that?
