Yokomo Slipper question

Hi all

Finally got all the parts for my Works 91 slipper clutch but I have no idea on how to set it. At the moment I seem to have it either too tight or so slack that it is slipping too much. Any one got any experience of setting one correctly? I am using the slipper pad from a RC 10 stealth clutch and a reedy 9x1 motor.

sounds like some oil traces may have made their way onto the slipper pad or discs. Use a degreaser to make sure they are all fully oil free and try again

Thanks Mr Ed I will give it a good clean. I've done some research on the stealth slipper pad and some people have advised to give the pad a bit of a rough up with fine grit paper, any thoughts?

How many degrees did you adjust the locknut between tries? About 10 degrees at a time should be ok.

Are you using the stock spring? If the spring is too soft , you 'd get the same effect as described also.
9x1 is pretty hefty, maybe you should consider upgrading to a dual slippper; some pepole here did that and have described it in older posts

Thanks again, I am ajusting around a quater so its probably too much. The Reedy is quite quick and the first time I ran it it destroyed a rear belt. I will have a look at the dual slipper option.

oopsmy bad: there is no double slipper for the yokomo, I somehow forgot thet title of the threat and was talking of an rc10
