Thanks for your comments.

I agree Its amazing what parts are out there, I have phoned many modelshops over the years and most are really helpfull but alot just laugh at me when I say Im looking for parts of cars that are over 15 years old, infact some of the people I spoke to did'nt sound old enough to know what a "CAT" or "COUGAR" are (try the pet shop, one comedian said!!!!). Just could'nt believe my luck with this lot, guy said he was going to put it onto ebay but could'nt be bothered (lucky 4 me!)

I remember when i got that HUUGE! lot a few years back. While it cost me almost $5k I certainly ended up with more than my money's worth.
I only got one nip Cougar works chassis pan in that whole lot but there was plenty of gold amongst that lot.
Its good to see others come away with a win and Scott you deserve it mate.

Was gonna ask everyones advice. Seeing as I will be selling most of this, what do you all think, sell as people need things? (as Jason did with his stuff) or sell as a bulk lot on the bay/forums and ask people to make me an offer?. As you can imagine this stuff did'nt come for free and I would like to re-coup some of the money I invested or the wife will have my balls for lunch :D

you will do better selling seperate, I dont think lots will make you as much money. I would just get a list up and put it in BTS section as each with at least retail on them or more depending on part.

Scott I think Rick is right.
Post a price on each item (and while it will take you a little time) it will net far better results. When I filled the back of my ute with my Schumacher load i did let a lot go a lot of stuff at some pretty rediculously low prices but the money did roll in when people knew I was realistic. Infact I had very little idea at all when it came to asking prices.

know what you mean jason, I realise I can make more if I sell it as sepaerate parts, just means alot of work on my part (theres alot to go through), but I suppose I will get more in the end and it will be worth it

Scott I literaly had 4 boxes the size of coffins full to the brim of Schuey parts, I began sorting the parts into models then went from there.
It was worth the trouble in the end. I know you'll have your wife bugging you with how quick you can move it all but the wait and patience will be well worth it. No doubt you'll need to lavish some of the extra earnings on your be-loved wife (this will smooth things over very well indeed- ). My wife was happy because for the most part it put an expensive engagement ring on her finger- :D

just start small, I would grab some plastic totes and sort it by section ft susp, back, trans, chassis and so on. I have found if its in smaller lots it will be easer to manage. I go to Staples and buy Mailer boxes, and if I am going to build a car from parts I just put the parts in one box with a list of what I need to still find to check off. that way you dont sell off anything you need for a build. but thats just my 02. and if I get tired of it I just tape it up and mail it to someone else to build

I agree with above but would do it both ways. Sort by car, then dump the stuff by lot that is not so interesting. Nitro 10, Fireblade, Cat 2000 etc. Then list the good stuff individually here for the more desirable cars. C2, CAT, Topcat etc. You will have no problem getting your money back and you can save some time by not listing the stuff no one wants.

Women are suckers for expensive rings (as I have found out!), so separate sales will benefit you and the mrs in the end....
