Not too much happening on the B2 rebuild right now, pretty much stopped at the spur gear. My original one isn't too bad really, just a little warped, but I figured I'd replace it while I was there. Twice now, I've ordered the correct looking 2 hole mounted spur gear on Ebay and twice I have received the new Kimbrough style, which WAS NOT what the seller had pictured on their listing. Heck on the second one, I even sent the seller message asking if this indeed was the correct spur gear that he had listed and pictured, he said yes it was and I still got the wrong one.

You're are making good progress on your build, looks great. Might have to get back to my B2 build
Sorry to hear about your Ebay woes, I'd be curious to know who you have had trouble with lately as I have been having the same problems. Items listed with pictures depicting the old items and receiving re-release parts which fit, but are NOT the same thing to a person restoring a car. If you want to shoot me a PM we can exchange notes...
If your going to run it i would advise buying a B4 layshaft and VTS slipper clutch, as cars so much easier to drive with brushless motors. I bought an rpm gear cover for the b2/3 as well for the losi hydra drive as that gives enough room for the clutch.
Ive got ceramic diff balls and tungsten thrust race balls and bought rudebitz (in the uk) brass chassis plates plus redesigned the tower a bit to allow for large lipos.

I blame Tower for the wrong pictures compared to what is actually received. Most people just steal Towers photos for their listings. Many a time I've ordered AE things only to have them arrive looking completely different. Mufflers, headers, exhaust joiners, fuel tanks, exhaust gaskets, clutch shoes, 4-40 locknuts etc.....
I did a search on this and nothing good popped up so if this has been covered in the past I apologize.... I am looking to rebuild the shocks on my RC10. Is there any type of a kit out there to help with this, or directions? I don't want to screw...

Depends on the shocks condition, they may just need a clean - but then it is best as said above to at least replace the o-rings, you can get away with polishing the shock shafts as long as they are not bent. If they are the hard anodized shocks...
Hello all. I am new to this forum but not new to the AE world. I have been involved with this hobby for about 20 years. My first Hobby grade RC was a Kyosho Big Brute, I got when I was 8 years old. About two kits later I recieved an RC10T for my...

so while I was rebuilding the velineon 3500, I was looking on the inside of the motor and seeing a white build on the copper wires.

guess i should give an update, I ended up just running it (motor housing) in an ultra sonic cleaner with a few cleaners, dish soap & some floor cleaner. I let it run for an hour or so. Dried it out with a micro fiber cloth so it didnt leave lint or...
I am now determined to rebuild his thing and make it spin at least 16 seconds! I already took it apart and started working on it. I'm ordering ABEC 7 ceramic bearings for it. What I have now are ABEC 1s. ABEC meaning how well the bearings turn. When...

Do the outdrive slots have any raised burrs on them from dogbone wear? That can make the bearings hard to press over the outdrive.
The outdrives got a quick freshening with a small file for any burrs, and a super quick polishing for surface rust....
I Have Had A RC10 Graphite Since 1990 Or 1991.Everything works In It Runs Great. Just Checking To See If I Can Upgrade The Motor To A bushless And Witch One Would Fit. And I Like To Up Grade The Electronics In It What Would Be Good Upgrades That...

Junk? No RC10 is a junk car. :) It sounds like it may be a Team Car which is a cool car. If it has a milled out interior chassis and yellow wheels it would be a Worlds Car which is really cool.
Hello.
As said in my presentation I put some photos of my RC10 CE which spent 20 years in its box in the garage.
It is a model with the 6-gear gearbox, bearings everywhere, a ROBBE ECO 2-WAY 27Mhz AM radio, standard 27-turn YOKOMO motor, and a...

Just realized you built your own ESC, nice work! That's awesome. Man the French RC mags were way ahead of RC Car Action I guess... 😆
Hello! I recently started working on an old Gold Pan. It has a futaba reciever, a futaba 63003 servo, VXL-3s ESC, a Velineon 3500 motor, and a stock 6 speed trans. It was working great for a while. really fast. Here recently though, it wont work....

My mistake, it went 58. I'm not sure the battery. It was a lipo I borrowed from a friend. I was running 31 on the pinion. Not too sure on the spur.
