Even though I hated the "drive" of the car - love some of the features. They really were trying to think outside the box with some of the car, just a shame it was too late.
A stunning example of the Maxima mate - great stuff - sweet pics too!

technically I would not mind the rear moter at all, but the non-countersunk screws and the belt running under the chassis would make it a big no-no for me.
I didn't follow the PB buggies, more the nitro on roads...it's weird for me to see the PB signature style morphed for buggies as they share a common look...
After information and if possible loads more pictures of the PB ACE Prototype, the mid motored version that was trialed but never made it into production. Very interested in this car . I’ve seen one mag article on the prototype if I can’t find a car...

Having built, rebuilt, driven and slightly modified both Mini Mustangs and Maximas I can honestly say they aren't a bad rig. There were some definate weaknesses but with those now addressed I am proudly confident in saying these cars work well.

Gens Ace is now accepting applications for sponsorship in Europe!
I came across this yesterday and wanted to share it with you all. Unfortunately, I have zero racing experience under my belt and wouldn't apply to save myself the embarrassment....

i wonder if they'd sponsor me? a guy that hasn't raced weekly in around 10 years, and these days, is lucky to charge a battery more than once a year.

Thanks for the info!
Yes I'm sure the one I'm looking for has a buypass relay for full speed.
I do believe these were used in Europe, as the only little info I have about it is from a Norwegian magazine from mid 1982, that stated they were very...
Ok need some constructive advice please, not but a repro shell , I’m laboriously removing paint off an old PB Ace shell. It was painted both sides and on the outer it seems to be car paint.
It’s coming of with Carson slowly however I previously...

As the car paint seems to be stubborn and almost etched into the lexan I used the Carson and a fine abrasive pad rubbed them wiped with cotton wool. This seems to help although still have a cloudy white look to it. Gonna take some time to drag all...
Buddy gave me his old Pro-Ace super charger that he got when he bought the RC10 I now have. Has adjustable current, trickle charge and can run on AC or DC power. Question is, can I charge my 5000mah batteries with it? I do plan to get a newer...

I put this Tekin in a computer power supply back in the day. Still works great.
It used to have a nice polished finish.
