"W" is for wet magnets. "S" is for speed and "T for torque in the Spa motors.
  • Good thing there's no WD Spa or some wag would dub it the Wet Dreams Spa. :D

You are correct, I looked at the SPA 480 that came in the post today and that is a 480WT T being for torque no doubt whereas the 240 is a 240 WS S being for speed

Well at least they didn't keep the long kit names, if they had- by now we would have a

Quite possible but I think the earlier LeMans Pro motors were using wet magnets also.

I just cut the comm on a half wore out 240st(sealed can, bushings). My comm lathe was all loose and giggly and I ended up hacking the pore thing up beyond repair. RIP one more vintage lemans motor!!!

Beauty! I have one of those that I want to restore, I just can't seem to find a blue endbell that hasn't been messed up with a soldering iron... :x
